Barclay Goodrow, a forward for the New York Rangers, stated that he is on a strictly liquid diet for a month after taking a puck to the face a week ago.

Goodrow's injury occurred during the Rangers' Game 3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Second Round. The forward sustained the injury in the third period after taking a deflected shot from Hurricanes defenseman Brady Skjei.

Goodrow was able to skate off the ice under his own power, but he did not return to the game. He was evaluated by team doctors after the game and was diagnosed with a facial injury.
